District 69 Parents and Staff, please see the link below for the Invitation to the 2012 PTO Culminating Dinner on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012, at 6:30 PM. It's a great opportunity for Parents and Staff to get together one last time during the 2011-2012 school year and celebrate the wonderful experiences they had throughout the year. Thank you Mrs. Rafas for an outstanding 8 weeks of Art for the Madison School Children! See the thank you from the Madison Teachers on behalf of the 630 students who benefited from the PTO Art Rescue Program. The Art Rescue Program was created through the effort of Mrs. Pam Cofre and the Art Rescue Auction held in August 2011. Through her efforts enough money was raised to bring Art to the Madison Children for 8 weeks this spring. Mrs. Rafas, the former Art Teacher from Madison school came back during these 8 weeks and brought Art back to the Children at Madison School.
School District 69 is hosting one more Book Fair this year to Support Literacy and help the district families build their home libraries. Edison will be hosting this fair with books for all ages during the week of May 30th. We are very excited about this fair because for every book you purchase you will get one of equal or lesser value free! At the Book Fair you will find the latest and finest titles for kids of all ages, from preschool to 8th grade, as well as books of interest to parents. Mark your calendar and watch for updates about specific times, and get ready for great deals while promoting literacy. Where else can you buy two books for the price of one!? And, you can contribute books to your child's classroom library to thank the teachers for the wonderful 2011-2012 school year! The Book Fair is always a great way to get everyone excited about reading. We hope to see you there! More will follow once the schedule has been finalized.

The Book Fair at Madison School is Thursday April 26th between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. You can find books for Preschool through 3rd grade, along with some adult titles and cookbooks for adults. But did you know that if you go online and follow the link below to the online shopping you could check out books for all ages, including book series, like the Hunger Games! Hurry you can shop online through May 1st and support our efforts of raising money to purchase books for District 69!

Please join us at Lincoln Jr. High Library Media Center on February 2, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. for the February PTO Meeting. See the Agenda, Financial Reports and Minutes from the December meeting below.
Come to the Curragh on the First Tuesday of the month for lunch or dinner, and tell them you are there to support District 69. While you enjoy the great food with your family and friends, you will be earning money for the programs for the children in District 69. The Curragh will donate 18% of your tab to benefit the children.
If you are looking for something fun to do over the winter break, why not bring the children over to Pump it Up in Glenview. Pump It Up Glenview has graciously offered to donate 10% of the admission fees to District 69 PTO for any District 69 families who visit over the winter break! Please see the flyer below for details.
