Week 2 Newsletter

Please let me know if you have any questions about the "Me bag" assigment that was sent home on Friday.  Students can bring those back to school all week long and share them with the class.

My favorite part of last week was seeing the students build stamina while reading quietly to themselves.  We discussed how important it is to read book through the pictures and the words.  We then practiced reading from our book buddies while sitting on a carpet square.  I look forward to continue building reading stamina this week.

Hello Parents and Students,

We made it through the week one of school.  Just a recap of what we did last week.  Students came up with rules for the classroom...I have posted them on my teacher website.  We got to know each other by playing a game called "Find a Buddy".  We had to go around to different people and ask them questions to find out what they like and didn't like.  The game was fun and the atmosphere in the classroom was cheerful,  energetic, and collaborative.  Students seemed to enjoy meeting and learning about each other.  A great start to being a sharing and team oriented class.
