Introduction

You have been chosen by your teacher to participate in a Technology Project for the state of Illinois. You will be expected to research one Native American Tribe and then to create a movie that can be used to teach other students about that tribe.

Task

Your task is to research a North American tribe and to find information and pictures on at least 4 topics that depict the daily life of that tribe. You will use this information to create a slideshow using MovieMaker.

You might find information about: Location, Recreation, Customs, Shelter, Food, Art, Clothing or another teacher approved topic

You will organize the information you find into MovieMaker and then present your movie to your classmates.

Process

• First, you will be placed in groups and each group will be assigned a tribe.

• Each group will use information charts to record their research. Any images that you find as you search should be saved to your My Pictures Folder in your P drive. Sources for all pictures and information must be included somewhere in your movie.

• Print out the Research Sheets to record the information you find.

• Transfer your rough-draft notes into MovieMaker. Follow the MovieMaker Checklist.

• After your movie is finished you will present it to your class.

Evaluation

Your grade will be determined by how well you complete your job.

Conclusion

All groups will present their movies to their classmates and teacher.
