Skokie/Morton Grove School District 69 continues to encourage children the importance of healthy living and social responsibility by participating in the American Heart Association’s JUMP ROPE FOR HEART yearly fundraising program.

Under the leadership of physical education teacher Tara Wolf, Thomas Edison School (Morton Grove) had over 556 students participate during their physical education classes the week of February 20, 2012 with 109 of those students raising $5,658.03 in pledges. 

Madison School (Skokie), under the leadership of physical education teacher Erin Sharkey, had over 500 students participate during their physical education classes the week of February 20, 2012 with 116 of those students raising $7,527.55 in pledges.

In March, the two school teams were proud to make a combined donation to the American Heart Association in the amount of $13,185.58.
