The Human Body is a wonderful, complicated machine whose parts all work together to keep the body healthy. You are going to learn how the digestive, respiratory, and circulatory systems all work together in your body to give it the fuel and energy you need.
You are going to travel through the human body on one of three different trains: The Circulatory Train, The Respiratory Train, or The Digestive Train. When you go on a journey, you must plan your departure, your activities during your trip, and your return home. You take pictures along the way and bring them back to show your family and friends.
Choose one of the following train schedules...
The Circulatory Train
You will follow the path of a blood cell throughout the body, beginning with the heart and finally returning to the heart. List all the places through which the blood travels. Draw a picture of your journey.
The Respiratory Train
You will follow the path of a breath of air from the time it is inhaled until it is exhaled. List all the places through which the air travels. Draw a picture of your journey.
The Digestive Train
You will follow the path of a bite of pizza from the time you put it in your mouth until it leaves your body. List all the places through which the food travels. Draw a picture of your journey.
