	Ask Asia - Maps, history, language, games, culture...for kids
	PBS Kids/Africa for Kids - Visit 4 schools on the African continent. Listen to their music and folktales; crafts.

	National Geographic for Kids - Go to "People and Places". Select a country to visit and see photos, videos, facts and maps. Visit "Games" and play some geography games!
	Smithsonian Zoo - Facts about native North American animals.

Biographies
	Bio4Kids - part of biography.com and The Biography Channel. This site has great biographies on quite a few famous presidents, history makers, inventors and more. In addition, there are short videos about several people, games and informaton on a kids' series on the Biography Channel called "Bio4Kids"! Appropriate reading level for average 2nd graders and up.
	Biographies for Kids - a lot of information on a number of "leaders" including presidents, scientists, explorers, women, civil rights leaders and much more. At the end of each biography is a "slide show" option which will allow students to see more photos and documents on the biography subject. Scroll down a little to get to the lists of biographies. Very appropriate for 2nd grade and up. Remind students not to click on the ads that are located to the right and left of George Washington. There is a citation resource just above the heading for American Presidents. Please use when citing this webpage.
	America's Story - this page is presented by the Library of Congress. Besides simple biographies of famous Americans (of all types), there is also a lot of historical information, facts about the states, games and even a chance to listen to some "old" music or create your own old-fashioned cartoon!

	Enchanted Learning - Find information and animal printouts by habitat
	Build an Online Habitat - A bit advanced, but most kids will enjoy selecting the animals, plants and weather to match their selected biome.
	Missouri Botanical Garden - Very informative website with information about just about every habitat/biome imaginable. Includes climate, geography, animals and links to other sites.
	Environmental Education for Kids - Information on Prairie/ Grassland habitat, specifically in Wisconsin but still useful.
	Zoom School - Part of the Enchanted Learning site, but with more information, puzzles, quizzes and links to other rainforest sites or activities within Enchanted Learning site.
CyberZoo	Cyberzoo - Student researched created information pages about the biomes. Includes animals, bibliography and Q&A.
	CyberSleuth Kids - Search engine for kids. These collected sites are about habitats. Could also use this site to search for other information as well!
	Active Science (sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline) has a great game/quiz about assorted habitats.
	National Geographic - This site is geared more toward teachers. Information on the habitats, lesson plans and resources to find more information.
