DISTRICT 69'S PAY TO RIDE BUS PROGRAM

Pay to Ride Bus Applications are now available for the 2013-2014 school year. The deadline for Bus Application is June 1, 2013, applications received after this date are subject to a $25 late fee.  If you have additional questions concerning District 69's bus program please contact the schools directly.

BUS SERVICE

The District contracts with Positive Connections Bus Company to provide transportation services for its students.  The performance of the service is monitored on a daily basis by each individual school.  For questions or information regarding your students' bus transportation please contact the school secretaries.

SUGGESTED ROUTES TO SCHOOL

Children walking to and from school should only cross streets at crosswalks, and are encouraged to walk in groups preferably with a parent or guardian.  For more information on suggested walking routes and crossing guards locations druing the 2012-2013 school year, please reference the Suggested Routes to School Maps below.

SCHOOL TRAFFIC RULES FOR STUDENT PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

If you elect to drive your child to and from school, please check below for each school's specific traffic patterns and procedures. And we ask that you help make our school zones safer by refraining from using cell phones or drinking beverages while driving. Police Departments have reported that these are the two most frequent causes of accidents and fender benders around schools. Please also be aware that the speed limit in school zones is not to exceed 20 miles per/hr during a school day when children are present.

SCHOOL RULES FOR BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS & IN-LINE SKATES

Helmets are required.  We encourage students riding scooters or bicycles to place them in the racks provided, using a chain and lock.  The District is not responsible if bikes, scooters or any other personal property are stolen.  Bicycles, scooters and in-line skates may not be used before school or at recess on the playgrounds.  Below is each school's specific rules and procedures concerning any grade restrictions and acceptable modes of non-motorized transportation for students to use while commuting to and from school.
