Our Leveled Book Room

Our bookroom consists of approximately 1000 different titles with six copies of each book. These books are used by classroom teachers during Guided Reading Instruction. Teachers can check out 10 sets at a time to accomodate all of their varied readers. The book sets follow the Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading Levels A-Z and include Fiction, Non-fiction and Content Area materials. Books are also labeled with DRA Levels and Lexile Measures. Each book set has been entered in our Online Catalog thus making it easy for teachers to match readers with appropriate and engaging books. This bookroom is the result of much hard work and dedication by the Parents, Students, Faculty and Administration of Skokie School District 69.
